The center-piece of the Corntacular Adventure is, of course, the corn maze. This year's maze design is being cut to honor the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 and will strive to capture the patriotic theme that makes this country the greatest country on the planet. In it you will see the bald eagle and "USA" along with "SEPT. 11TH 2001". If you look closely, you can also pick out the twin towers to the left of the eagle's face. There is an omage to the Ruffin Volunteer Fire Department (RFVD20) as they celebrate their 50th anniversary this year and serve as the oldest volunteer fire department around. Southern States of Danville was instrumental again this year in helping us get the maze planted so they are also highlighted in the maze.
There are several different parts to the maze including an area for smaller children so everyone that comes will have a great time getting "lost" in all of the fun. Cheat sheets are available for guests to help them navigate their way through but the real challenge waits for those who choose to figure it out on their own... go ahead, we dare ya!
We will be opening up select week nights the week of October 17th through Halloween for our annual Flashlight Maze. Those guests looking for that spooky thrill will certainly enjoy the added challenge of navigating the maze at night. Maze will open at dark... bring your own flashlight!!!
